Bulgarian uses special forms (деепричастия) for simultaneous actions. It’s always the same person doing both actions. See the examples below:
Отивайки на работа, спуках гума. (While going to work, I had a flat tire.)
Подписвайки договора, ти се съгласяваш с условията. (By signing the contract, you agree to the conditions.)
Четейки книги на български, започнахме да разбираме много повече. (Reading books in Bulgarian, we started understanding a lot more.)
It doesn’t need аз, ти, той, etc. and has a single form that stays the same for present, past, or future. See the formation pattern below:
отивам → отивайки
танцувам → танцувайки
оставям → оставяйки
правя → правейки
говоря → говорейки
живея → живеейки
пиша → пишейки
